Biography

Mitchell Ayes (he/him) has been associated with Callahan & Fusco since 2007 and became a Partner in 2016. In that time, he has represented companies and individuals in general liability, employment practices, errors and omissions (E&O), professional malpractice, and transportation matters. Mitch is known for providing strategic, client-focused representation to individuals, businesses, and professionals facing complex legal challenges. 

In the transportation sector, Mitch represents trucking companies, freight carriers and brokers, logistics providers, and insurers in matters involving accident defense, cargo claims, and risk management. Mitch is well-versed in state and federal transportation regulations, including DOT and FMCSA compliance, and works closely with clients to minimize liability and resolve disputes efficiently. In the maritime industry, Mitch has counseled marine insurers and NVOCCs in handling cargo damage and marine insurance disputes. 

In the general liability field, Mitch handles claims involving premises liability, product liability, and personal injury, delivering cost-effective solutions through negotiation, mediation, or trial. He also advises employers on employment practices issues, including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination and defends professionals such as attorneys, accountants, architects, and other licensed practitioners against negligence and malpractice claims.
