September 06, 2024 8:30 AM ETThis course has been designed for the Beginner to Early Intermediate Level Property adjuster or an experienced adjusters handling other insurance lines looking to make a transition into property claims adjusting. The student attending this course should expect to leave with a broad knowledge of Property Loss Value definitions and determinations, a basic outline of Property Claims Inspection Workflow Models, an understanding of personal lines policy provisions, conditions and limitations and basic Co-Insurance calculations as they apply to handling home owners type policies.
After completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the difference between RC and ACV and calculate the ACV and Market Value of property structure.
- Explain the settlement valuation for the different policy provisions.
- Calculate and value the loss adjustment.
- Explain waiver and estoppel, insured’s duties, proof of loss, and the appraisal procedure
